HER RESTLESS HEART

Abingdon Press has begun something new, and, I think, FUN… “Faith and Fiction Bible Studies”.  They sent me, “Her Restless Heart – A Woman’s Longing for Love and Acceptance” – free of charge, in exchange for my honest review.  This study – and the fiction book by the same name – were written by Barbara Cameron.

I love the way Barbara inserts excerpts from her book to help illustrate the topic she is teaching.  Of course, she uses a lot of Scripture, as well.

Each week is begun with a “Scripture for the Week”, “Setting the Stage”, and an excerpt from “Her Restless Heart”. 

Each day is divided up with Scripture to read – called “Read God’s Word” , Scripture to study and think about – called “Reflect and Respond”, a short prayer reminding you to “Talk to God”, and life application – called “As You Go”.

There are Amish translations included, and even a few Amish recipes.

I would highly recommend this, “Faith and Fiction” Bible study for women.
