I just read “Radical Well-Being, A biblical guide to
overcoming pain, illness, and addictions” by Rita Hancock, MD. She sent me the Advanced Reader Copy
completely free of charge with no expectations of a good review. That being said, let me say that I was
enthralled from the Introduction through the Appendix. I learned so much!!
Rita has subdivided this book to step the reader from
realizing the lies she’s been clinging to, in “You’re No Good”… the new hope,
in “The Whole You”… how God sees her, in “The Spiritual” …how to stop listening
to Satan’s lies, in “Take Captive Every Thought” to steps to inner healing, in “Hope
in Your Future”. She lists short prayers
to help us talk to God about our fears and pains at the end of each chapter,
with more in the Appendix. She also
includes Scriptures for ‘what ails us’ in the Appendix.
The thing is, she’s not just a doctor who spouts off high
falutin’ medical, or even Scriptural answers.
Rita has been there. She’s walked
through it and is allowing God to use her to help us to the other side of our
valleys. Thank you, Rita!
I would definitely recommend this Christian non-fiction book
to anyone in the valley.
