“The Berenstain Bears – Mother’s Day Blessings” was sent to
me by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – in exchange for my
honest review of it.
I am so excited that Mike Berenstain took over the drawing
and writing of the beloved Berenstain Bear Series that his parents, Stan and
Jan Berenstain introduced in 1962. I
read these when I was a child, and I read them to both of my boys and my nieces
and nephews when they were little. Now,
I read them to my grandsons and granddaughter.
I love these books!!
In this book, Mike Berenstain explains how mothers can be
all different ages and have many different occupations…But, the most special
thing for all mothers is to be with their children on Mother’s Day. I like how Berenstain always includes
questions to talk about…just a couple, and a few activities…Hug the mommies in
your life. Make your mommy a snack or meal. And, draw or paint your mommy a
picture of flowers.
Of course, I recommend this book to young readers and those
who read tiny ones.
