“NKJV faithgirlz Bible” was sent to
me by Faithgirlz, a division of Zondervan Publishing. It was free of charge, in exchange for my
honest review.
This is a regular Bible made for
young teen girls (though I’d use it myself).
It includes a summary of the Old and New Testaments. Also, there are “Book Introductions’, which
tell about who wrote the book, when it was written, where it takes place and
some of the characters. There’s also a
short synopsis of each book. “Dream
Girl” allows life application. These are
scattered throughout. We also see,
“Bring It On”, which are little quizzes (only one question each) to help her
get to know herself. “Is There a Little
(Eve, Ruth, Isaiah) in You?” is self-explanatory…What do you have in common? “Words to Live By” are memory verses. “What Happens Next?” is a chance to tell the
Bible story in her own words. And, “Oh,
I Get It!” are frequently asked questions answered. In the back, where we would find an appendix,
are conversions (THAT helps me!) and other needed items…like a read through the
Bible chart, promises found in the Bible, and a place for notes. The features included were written by Nancy
Rue.
As I’ve said, I would, myself, use
this Bible for my own study. I would
definitely recommend it for young teen girls!
