THE LEGEND OF THE EASTER EGG

The following book was sent to me free of charge in exchange for my honest review of it.

“The Legend of the Easter Egg” is a Christian fiction children’s picture book written by Lori Walburg.

I don’t normally mention illustrators in my reviews, but I absolutely love these.  Richard Cowdrey has illustrated “The Legend of the Easter Egg” with beautiful colors that really pop off the page.  I believe that these stunning renderings will help to hold a child’s attention while he/she is hearing about the meaning of the Easter egg,

Thomas is sent to stay with his aunt and uncle while his beloved big sister Lucy recuperates from an illness.  They own a candy store and give him his first chocolate egg.  Thomas becomes inquisitive and asks, “What are Easter eggs?”  His aunt teaches him the similarities between the Easter egg, new birth, and our risen Christ.

I would recommend that you share this wonderful book with any precious children in your life.
